The print direction for Alma Almante was inspired by artwork by
William Morris and antique tapestries. I developed my own series of print designs through a process of digitally tracing photographs of antique drapery and wallpaper. I then recoloured these into two colourways, and developed repeat pattern tiles. These would be sent to a print mill to be digitally printed onto fabric.
